We are one of Tanzania's most experienced safari operators. We have developed a selection of safaris throughout Tanzania, offering an exceptional experience at unbeatable value. Mountain climbing and Safari is our priority and we spend considerable funds to make our equipment safe and reliable and our staff is the best-trained in the field. We do not cut corners on safety and services. Gilbays Safaris is owned and operated by Gilbert and his team of professionals with experience have been operating safaris. Our Office in Tanzania is managed by experts who average more than ten years experience with Safaris and mountain climbing.

Our Office location is based in Moshi. Itineraries can be changed to cater your needs, Our transfers can be arranged from different destinations.
Gilbays Safaris guarantees every departure with a minimum of two passengers. Once we have received your deposit, you safari will operate on the scheduled date with the itinerary and cost described. We will never cancel a safari departure or charge a supplement because there are too few people on your safari.
Our guides are full time employees, have a minimum of ten years of safari experience and only the finest guides are employed to escort our safaris. Every Safari guide is an expert game tracker and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the history, geography, people, flora and fauna of East Africa, as well as excellent driving and mechanical skills. With a maximum of just four to six passengers in each vehicle, our guides provide a very personal service.
We the Directors personally monitors the day to day operations on the ground assisted by a dedicated team of safari experts. Our staff may be contacted at any time and every hotel and safari lodge has access to Gilbays Safaris staff in an emergency. Designated staff meets every guest on arrival at the airport, takes care of their luggage and escorts them to their hotel and assists with registration. Every Gilbays Safaris guest also receives a personal safari briefing and assistance with sightseeing excursions, restaurant reservations, shopping and confirmation of return flights.
We have developed close working relationships with our hotel partners and constantly monitor their facilities, cuisine and service. City hotels are well located. Rooms are available for early morning arrivals and late night departure. Safari lodges and camps are located in the heart of the best wildlife viewing sanctuaries. Our strong buying power and close cooperation, our guests will be allocated with the best rooms possible.
